ROYAL PIER APARTMENTS

Partial demolition and conversion of a Grade-II Listed former Rock House and Royal Pier Hotel with significant new build extensions to provide 17 luxury apartments with secure underground parking within a mix of both traditional and contemporary architecture. The development benefits from unobscured views of the Grade-I Listed, Victorian Clevedon Pier and Bristol Channel waterfront.

Planning was approved for the O'Leary Goss scheme when Freemantle Developments Ltd purchased the site and WDA were appointed to develop the design and produce all working drawings and details for construction. WDA's experienced team worked alongside the contractor to make non-material amendments (NMAs) to the original scheme as part of the value-engineering process. Particular care was imperative to the construction of the project, due to both the heritage of the site and the direct exposure to the seafront.
