RED BRICK BUILDING

WDA were appointed by the Red Brick Building following a competitive interviewing process to assist the client realise the potential of this former tannery building. WDA undertook a comprehensive feasibility study to establish the viability of a complete building and site wide refurbishment. The preferred designs included elements of strategic contemporary new build along with extensive refurbishment and structural stability works to create a new mixed-use development for the community, including proposals for further artist studios, drama spaces and start up office units all to be arranged across two floors set beneath the signature saw-tooth roof. Enabling works are ongoing to secure the building, whilst WDA continue to assist the Red Brick Building team secure funding for further works to restore the building and bring this former industrial heritage building back into use.
